What Happened to JonBenét Ramsey?

Image
The Unsolved Mystery of JonBenét Ramsey On December 26, 1996, the Ramsey family’s world came crashing down. Six-year-old JonBenét, an American beauty queen, was found murdered in the basement of her Boulder, Colorado home. The circumstances surrounding her death were chilling. A ransom note, and a garrote (which is basically a device used to strangle someone and is used in capital punishment), was found at the crime scene that seemed both staged and chaotic. From the moment the news broke, the case was all over the media, and the theories surrounding her murder have only grew over time. Let's get into some of my favorite theories, shall we? The Intruder Theory One of the most widely debated theories is that an unknown intruder broke into the Ramsey home and killed JonBenét. This theory was strongly supported by investigator Lou Smit, who believed that an outsider entered through a basement window and committed the crime. DNA evidence found on JonBenét’s clothing did not match any...

The Twisted Story of Arthur Shawcross

Image
The Twisted Story of Arthur Shawcross      Arthur Shawcross, AKA the "Genesee River Killer," was a serial killer who terrorized the Rochester, New York area from 1972 to 1989. His life and crimes were the subject of many studies and analyses, as they provide insight into the mind of a serial killer and the factors that may contribute to such behavior. Criminal Activities      Shawcross's first known murders took place in 1972 in Watertown, New York. He confessed to killing two children, Jack Blake and Karen Ann Hill, and was sentenced to 25 years in prison for these crimes. However, he was released on parole after serving only 15 years.      After his release, Shawcross moved to Rochester, New York, where he began his killing spree in 1988. Over the next two years, he murdered at least 12 women, most of whom were prostitutes. Shawcross would often strangle his victims and then mutilate their bodies. His crimes earned him the nickname "Genesee...

Spot Cafe Is TOO Good

Image
Rochester is a pretty small place that continues to amaze me every day. I remember in January of this year (2025) me and my brother went out for a sibling's day. Aj, 15 was home for the day due to a teacher's conference so I decided to take him out for lunch. We had lunch at a downtown restaurant that I can honestly not remember the name to, and after walked to Spot Cafe. Upon walking in, the atmosphere was very pleasant. The building was spacious and smelled like baked goods and fresh coffee. My brother and I were amazed at all the different desserts displayed as well as the overwhelming drink menu. Me and my younger brother got the same frappe as well as a cookies and creme bar and cannoli cake. The treats were to DIE for (both literally and figuratively as I'm quite sure the sugar and calories are nothing short of insane).       Though I haven't been back since January due to the start of the semester and the little amount of free time, I sure ...
